Infiniti Motors – Al Rai, Kuwait

Building long-lasting, meaningful partnerships with our clients is central to everything we do at ChelseaGREEN – which is why we are thrilled to have been chosen as the preferred furniture and fixtures supplier for Infiniti showrooms in the MENA region.

Known for its pioneering technology and luxurious vehicles, we worked with Infiniti’s Dubai-based team for around eight months who then coordinated with the Infiniti global team based in Japan, before our selection was confirmed in April 2023.

This wide-reaching MENA agreement came about largely due to the successful partnership between ChelseaGREEN and Nissan, which highlighted our strong track record and innovative approach to local sourcing and manufacturing.

So far, for Infiniti we have completed an impressive 7,500 sq. ft showroom project in Kuwait, and have confirmed orders for four showrooms in Saudi Arabia and one in Muscat.

Much like Nissan, Infiniti wanted to use one local supplier for each major region. This has financial benefits, but it is primarily part of their sustainability commitment. It enables the brand to use products that are locally sourced and locally manufactured, and minimise their carbon footprint.

Project overview: Infiniti Kuwait

To reflect the brand’s high-end image, for Infiniti’s Kuwait showroom we selected luxurious elements and materials such as leather, veneers, and refined finishes to create an aesthetic that is light, streamlined, and modern, yet with a touch of comfort.

The design creates a welcoming and calm atmosphere that complements the vehicles, enhancing the luxury feel and the overall buying experience. The fixtures not only provide information but also complement the vehicles, accentuating their elegance without overshadowing them.

Detailed and precise execution

Part of the selection process involved a full mock-up of the products with the designer who is based in Japan and the local project management team of Turner & Townsend. Our history with Nissan put us in a strong position because Infiniti already knew our build quality, attention to detail, ability to manufacture, deliver and install on time as part of a fully comprehensive service.

Our involvement also extended into the design process, collaborating closely with Japan to develop design renders, shop drawings, and technical drawings. They turned these designs into beautiful reality, carefully planning how each piece of furniture would be built, packaged, transported, delivered, unpacked, and installed on-site.

While the process is straightforward for loose furniture, larger built-in items are more complex and rely on accurate as-built drawings from the dealership. Ensuring these products were installed without damaging the showroom structure required precision and expertise.

From reviewing design standards to planning product placement, quoting, manufacturing, packaging, shipping, and installation, we managed the entire process with our manufacturing partners – ensuring that the layout of the products adhered to Infiniti’s high design standards. We look forward to a long collaboration and more exciting projects with Infiniti to come.
