Girlie Espiritu – Under the Spotlight
You know you’re doing something right when you have fantastic team members who have stayed with you from the start. For us, that’s Girlie, who joined us six years ago, shortly after we launched in 2018.
How has your role at ChelseaGREEN changed?
I am proud to say that I was ChelseaGREEN’s first employee in 2018 when I joined as Office Manager and Sales Support. Because we were so new, I got involved in many different areas of the business, handling various tasks such as quotations, invoicing, supply chain & logistics, as well as the scheduling of deliveries and installations. That meant I learnt fast. Over the years, the team has grown, and my role has evolved into Operations Manager.
What do you enjoy about working in the furniture and construction industry?
One thing I love is working with our team of designers, salespeople, and installers to ensure we deliver our projects on time. Overseeing a project from the proposal stage to handover gives me a great sense of accomplishment.
What has working at ChelseaGREEN taught you?
Working at ChelseaGREEN, I have learned the importance of effective communication, teamwork, and collaboration to accomplish our objectives. Additionally, my work has taught me the importance of adaptability and resilience when confronted with any challenge. Whether it involves managing unexpected obstacles, addressing customer concerns or navigating any disruptions in the supply chain, we will do what it takes to achieve a positive outcome.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I love baking, road trips with my family, and watching Korean drama series with my daughter.
Are you a natural organiser?
Yes, keeping things running smoothly is definitely in my nature. We have regular meetings to discuss our goals, progress updates, deliveries, and any issues or concerns for the week. I also make sure we regularly review our proposals and delivery programs to meet our client’s requirements and cover all necessary details.
If you could travel anywhere in the world where would it be and why?
I am planning to travel to Japan to see Mount Fuji, enjoy cherry blossom-lined streets, and taste authentic Japanese foods.
